Where can I see a juggler in Sydney?
Who hires jugglers in Sydney? Where can I see a juggler in Sydney? Well let me answer that for you.
Jugglers are everywhere, in the parks, on the streets, in the shopping centres and in the schools- but not in parliament. Although things might be better if they were!
Recently there have been appearances by Sydney jugglers in Westfields all over the city. There have been many corporate events where jugglers have appeared and of course, the cabaret theatres around Sydney always incorporate jugglers.
In fact, recently a Sydney Juggler appeared at a French restaurant.
So they really are everywhere.
But if you want your own juggler, you can hire one from our jugglers’ page. They’ll do corporate events, children’s entertainment, birthday parties, shopping centre appearances and openings.
And if you don’t want to hire one, why not become one? There are lots of juggling tutorials on line. One of my favourites is Taylor Tries
All you need to do is buy three juggling balls and have enthusiasm.
And juggle, juggle, juggle.
Post Lockdown and Still Juggling
The COVID lockdowns played havoc with jugglers everywhere, but now, post lockdown, it’s great to see jugglers still juggling and Sydney entertainment incorporating juggling into all its events.
Conventions are back too! This weekend jugglers are having an outrageously great time at the Adelaide Juggling Convention. Check them out on Instagram.

In international news, the European Juggling Convention is back better than ever. Tres Cantos in Spain will be forever changed by 3000 jugglers- Get your tickets now.
I had the good fortune to spend some time in New York City in January and I met the wonderful jugglers of Bryant Park Juggling- If you’re ever in NYC go and visit them.

The most exciting thing happening in the Australian juggling world is the Melbourne Juggling Convention on 28th September. Special guest this year is Emil Dahl. Emil, from Sweden, is one of the most well known and skilled jugglers in the world. Of course, no MJC is complete without Australia’s world class jugglers, and they’ll all be there too.
MJC is always great value. Check out their page, visit the gala show or go to a workshop. This is the biggest juggling event in the Australian Juggling calendar. Don’t miss it.
In local news, Marrickville Fire Jam is continuing at Enmore Park. If you want to spin fire, or practice your flow skills, or just hang out, Enmore Park is a great place to do it. This month they are holding fire jams at 7pm on the 30th of August and the 14th September.

Juggling is magic ….
Juggling balls, juggling rings, juggling clubs, all this and more has been done by Sydney Jugglers over the last month. We’ve been juggling at football finals, schools, festivals and Vivid. If you’d like to hire one of these skilful people, just contact them and they’ll entertain your children, your employees and your friends.
It’s time to say goodbye to our friends at Juggleart. They’ve been part of the juggling community for many years and it’s sad to see them go. Farewell Juggleart, and best of juggling luck for the future.
If you want to buy juggling balls in Sydney, it’s quite difficult because there are no juggling shops in Sydney. Buying juggling balls from overseas can attract attention from customs, so for juggling balls it’s best to buy from people like balls for your mind
Customs is not very interested in other props, so buying high quality clubs or hats or rings from overseas is no problem. It’s quite easy to buy from places like Oddballs in London, and their prices are not too high. A good quality juggling club should cost about 30-40 dollars (Australian) per club. Our personal favourites are Henry’s Delphins, they’re light and good for numbers juggling.
In other news, it’s almost time for GeniiCon which is going to be the largest ever magic convention in Australia. It will be great. Go along and have a look and learn from the best magicians in the country.
In local juggling news, Marrickville Fire Jam is holding events every Thursday afternoon in Enmore, whilst the local universities and juggling clubs are still holding their weekly get togethers. Check them out.
Even if you don’t have special juggling balls, you can still throw some tennis balls in the air and try to catch them. Juggling is a skill you can try anywhere, it will amuse you, entertain your friends and in desperate times you can even busk for lunch….or rent…which is probably more appropriate for Sydney…

Juggling balls, rings, clubs, poi, devil sticks or hats is fun, healthy, and exciting and a great activity for kids during the school holidays. Why not attend a juggling workshop, hire a juggler for your kid’s birthday party or simply pick up some juggling balls or clubs to play with? You won’t regret it.

Sad news has reached Sydney Jugglers, our friends at Juggleart in Melbourne announced that they are closing after two decades of providing props, listening services, playful interactions, and generosity to the circus community. If you feel inspired you might want to learn how to juggle, and there are lots of places around Sydney where you can do so. Just pop along to have some fun. Swoop Physical Theatre on Sydney’s lovely Northern Beaches is one such place. These highly experienced trainers will provide a great opportunity to learn physical theatre skills in a warm and friendly environment. They hold classes for everybody from children to adults.
And if you want to practise your new skills you can visit one of the friendly juggling clubs around Sydney.
Remember to say ‘hi’ and maybe give some spare change to the hard-working juggling buskers you might see in Sydney. It’s tough being a professional entertainer in this town.

As summer leaves us the jugglers of Sydney are returning home to throw juggling balls, juggling rings and juggling clubs. They’ve been training hard for the new year and are ready to perform for your children’s birthday party, corporate event, fete, fair or celebration. Why not hire a juggler today?
January and February were all about overseas travel with many adventures with Italian and French jugglers. Check out our Instagram page for some amazing European performers. Some preview pictures are above.

The universities are back in session, and both Circusoc at UNSW, and SURCAS at the University of Sydney are holding meetings and training sessions regularly. Non students are also welcome to join these sessions. The prices are cheap, and the quality is high.
And sometimes we like to acknowledge magicians too, because they are fellow performers. Happily Sydney has a very vibrant magic scene and in June there will be a huge magic convention which will be a riotously fun event full of….ummmm…..magic!
But remember, juggling is real, whilst magic is only illusionary.

Happy Juggling New Year
What do Jugglers do on New Years Eve? They juggle. They juggle balls ,juggling rings, juggling clubs, and, sometimes they juggle sparklers. Why not hire a juggler for your next corporate event or kids party and make it a juggling and sparkling New Year for you and your workforce? It’s a great activity that builds trust, teamwork and for kids it’s outrageous fun.
There’s good news and bad news in the Sydney Juggling World. The good news is that our friends Joe Fisher and Kenny Cheung are now officially in the top 40 most popular jugglers in the world. This is the first time that two Australian jugglers have been in the top 40. It’s a great achievement for both of the jugglers and also for Australian juggling. Congratulations !
The bad news is that the Newcastle Juggling Convention has been postponed. Organising a juggling convention is incredibly time consuming and difficult and we know that the people involved in this project really worked hard to get it running for Australia Day. Unfortunately circumstances didn’t come together for that date, but jugglers in Australia are really hoping that the convention can happen later this year.
However, if you are thinking about a convention, why not go to the New Zealand Juggling and Circus Festival? It’s on in February and it’s a great occasion for Australasian jugglers. Details can be found on their webpage.
Our new year resolutions involve juggling (surprise!), and we recommend that you make it one of yours too. There are many great juggling clubs in Sydney, visit one, have fun and become….a juggler!

The year might end, but juggling balls, rings and clubs goes on forever, because there is always something new to learn. And in Sydney there are lots of places you can learn how to juggle.
In great news, our own Kenny Cheung got a highly commended award at the Australian Circus Festival. Congratulations Kenny, your ‘Go’ routine was fantastic. If you want to see this great juggler live, you can hire him or another Sydney entertainer just by visiting our Sydney Jugglers page.
If you happen to be looking for last minute presents for the festive season, think about buying your best friend, crush, child, cousin, mother, brother, sister, lover, husband. wife, partner, significant other, or random stranger, some juggling props. January 26th is getting closer, so it’s time to buy tickets for the Newcastle Juggling Convention. It’s the most fun you can have standing up. It’s cheap, and it doesn’t involve drunken renditions of Waltzing Matilda. If you’re not a juggler you can still go and have a look at the amazing Sagi Bracha who is the international guest. WOW!
In very big news, Cirque du Soleil is holding auditions. Yes CIRQUE DU SOLEIL is holding auditions in Australia. So if you’re a performer, definitely look into this one.
We’ve had a great year at Sydney Juggling, world records, pancakes, EJC, visitors from Japan, visitors from Circussoc, visitors from Mars….(Ok I might have made that one up!) Hoopers, diabolists, hat twirlers, flow artists, athletes, it’s been fun and we’d like to thank everybody who has visited us in person or joined us on Instagram.

Sydney Juggling-More fun than fireworks!
Have you seen a juggler recently? Of course not. The jugglers at Sydney Juggling are in high demand at this time of year, so If you want to hire an expert to juggle balls. rings or clubs at your Christmas or New Year party, be quick, because they are being booked fast!
Circus is huge at the moment. Next week is the Australian Circus Festival in Blacktown and there will be lots of jugglers performing, including the wonderful Kenny Cheung who will be in the gold performance. It’s going to be a very special show and he has some big surprises planned.
In other exciting news, the fantastic Sagi Bracha is the special international guest at the Newcastle Juggling Convention which takes place in January next year. He’s a great person and an amazing juggler. Why not spend Australia Day weekend juggling? More fun than fireworks!
While all this is going on, professional and amateur jugglers in Sydney are happily enjoying the good weather by juggling balls, rings and clubs in parks and halls around Sydney. Why not give it a try? Juggling is a fun, challenging and healthy hobby.
